Jeff Braverman

Jeff Braverman has dedicated nearly three decades to helping clients achieve their financial goals through disciplined investment management and thoughtful planning. He began his career at Steven Charles Capital (SCC), the firm founded by his father, Steven Braverman, in 1986. After graduating cum laude from Colgate University in 1996 with a B.A. in Economics, Jeff joined SCC as a Research Associate, where he developed a strong foundation in portfolio analysis and market research.

He went on to earn his MBA in Finance from the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester in 2000 and was promoted to Vice President and Portfolio Manager in 2002. A decade later, in 2012, Jeff became Chief Executive Officer of SCC, continuing his father’s legacy and guiding the firm through steady growth with an unwavering commitment to clients and integrity in every decision.

Jeff holds a Series 65 license and previously maintained his Series 7, which he chose not to renew given SCC’s fee-based advisory model.

A lifelong Pittsford, New York resident, Jeff lives with his wife Erin and their son Dylan. An avid golfer with a GHIN index of 5.7, Jeff is a member of Irondequoit Country Club and enjoys spending time on the course and with family.

In 2025, Steven Charles Capital joined Whitney & Company, combining two family-founded, independently owned firms with shared values and a deep commitment to serving clients. Jeff now continues his work as Senior Vice President of Whitney & Company, carrying forward SCC’s mission and expanding its reach with enhanced resources and expertise.
